Furniture sales forecast revised downwards
Stronger ringgit expected to erode margins
GEORGE TOWN: The sales of Malaysian-made furniture products are unlikely to hit RM9bil this year as forecast earlier due to the stronger ringgit over the past nine months.
Malaysian Furniture Entrepreneurs Association (MFEA) president Lor Lean Sen told StarBiz that the achievable target is around RM8bil, which is about 4% higher than last year’s RM7.62bil.
